Hilary Stecklein Kobrin, MD, FAAP
CEO
Dr. Stecklein Kobrin is a board certified physician specializing in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She has practiced medicine for more than 30 years, a Clinical Professor in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine for over 25 years, and a Regional Medical Director for a Multispecialty HMO. She was educated at Wellesley College and SUNY Medical School. Her postdoctoral training included Internship & Residency/Chief at USF and Fellowship at Harvard Medical School The Children's Hospital. She has furthered her interests in leadership and global wellness at the Physician Leadership College Opus School of Business St. Thomas University, and UCSD School of Medicine Center for Mindfulness Teacher Training. She has travelled internationally to provide medical care and education. Her passion is integrating medical knowledge, compassion, mindfulness and optimism. A believer in practical and effective tools and training, she is a sought after speaker on such topics as personal and professional renewal, understanding the science behind the body-mind-heart connections, communication and conflict resolution, and maximizing team/partnership creativity and fulfillment.
Kate Pfaffinger, MPH, PhD, LP
Principal Consultant
Dr. Pfaffinger is a health psychologist and consultant in private practice. She first worked as a nurse and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in hospital, clinic and public health settings for 14 years. After receiving her PhD from The University of Minnesota's Psychology in the Schools and Community, Dr. Pfaffinger worked for over 20 years as a pediatric psychologist/health psychologist specializing in the care of children, teens and adults who have the often overlapping concerns of anxiety and somatic complaints and chronic health conditions. She has worked as a health psychologist in both general medical and sub-specialty clinics (including Pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis Clinic; Myelodysplasia Clinic; Pediatric Diabetes & Endocrinology Clinic; Pediatric Renal Clinic; The Center for Exercise and Nutrition Therapy.) Recently retired from clinical practice, Kate continues to develop and present workshops and retreats for a variety of audiences on topics including mind-body medicine, clinical hypnosis, mindfulness and self-compassion.
Caren Pearson, Educator and Artist

Caren Pearson is an educator and a practicing artist. She earned a BA in Fine Arts, from Bennington College, and a MEd in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. She is a Golden Apple Teacher and a National Board Certified Teacher. Caren was an illustrator and designer in several major museums, owned a successful graphic design business and was an art educator for 22 years, sharing her love of art with students from age 4-90. She is a lifelong learner, active in the Alliance of the Arts, and a Fellow of the National Writing Project. She has also been a presenter at local, state and national conventions on the subjects of Art, Creativity, Verbal and Visual Literacy, Team Building and Mindfulness. Painting has always been her passion. It provides a way to explore creativity, ideas and feelings. Her programs explore the impact of stress and the role the arts can play to encourage positive self-expression, learning to trust your intuition and improve wellness. As a professional artist, she stimulates curiosity and helps get creative juices flowing through hands-on art activities. Caren sees painting as a type of meditation that provides serenity, opens positive energy to explore the inner artist, stimulates the imagination and the ability to communicate.
