Mindful Self Compassion Tree Model

Mindful self compassion ( MSC) is an evidence based intervention that was developed by

Drs. Kristin Neff and Christopher K. Germer.

The basic ingredients of MSC are:

- Clearly seeing one’s faults rather than ignoring, distorting or hiding them

- Using  the lens of shared humanity

- Treating oneself with kindness in the face of personal shortcomings and inevitable difficulties
